Qualifications

• 0-1 year experience.
• Licensing: NYS DOH / Office of Professions; ASCP or NCA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical procedures in Molecular Pathology, Tumor Cytogenomics, Flow Cytometry as outlined in policy/manuals.
• Maintains QC and calibration procedures; records in LIS and signs QC logs.
• Reviews critical results, communicates to Nursing/Physician, and documents in LIS.
• Prioritizes work to meet turnaround times; notifies supervisor if a test is delayed.
• Assists in inventory control and ensures proper storage of reagents and supplies.
• Participates in department projects and safety/compliance activities.
