Job summary

SECU is seeking an entry-level Associate Member Services Representative to learn branch operations and deliver exemplary member service. You will respond to inquiries by phone and in person, handle transactions, and support everyday branch functions under supervision.

The role emphasizes learning core procedures, maintaining confidentiality, and helping members with account-related requests while working in a team-oriented credit union environment.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree, CCUE Certification, or AA/AS via NC-CTP.
• Consistently demonstrates SECU's Core Values.
• Aptitude for meeting people and building member confidence, respect, and trust.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Complete Credit Union Core Module Program within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Respond to member inquiries by telephone and in person.
• Process transactions and balance a cash drawer according to standards.
• Operate drive-through window as needed.
• Balance vault, ATMs, teller cash dispenser, and coin sorter.
• Assist with opening basic accounts under supervision and learn MIP procedures.
• Learn CXone and provide assistance to MSS as requested.
• Provide referrals to Financial Advisory and Real Estate services when appropriate.
• Maintain daily and monthly records for reports such as returns and forgeries.
