Job summary

State Employees' Credit Union in North Carolina is seeking an Associate Member Services Representative to join our branch team. This entry-level role provides foundational knowledge of SECU branch operations and focuses on exemplary member service by responding to inquiries in person and by phone.

You will perform routine branch duties, including cash box management, account origination and maintenance, while learning security procedures and adhering to policy.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED equivalent; higher education preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Aptitude for meeting people and developing member confidence, respect, and trust.
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain confidentiality of member information.
• Willingness to learn branch operations and financial products.

Responsibilities

• Respond to member inquiries by telephone and in person with courteous professionalism.
• Handle routine branch duties including cash box management and balance transactions.
• Process basic account origination and maintenance under supervision.
• Adhere to security, control procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Balance cash drawer and assist with daily vault/ATM checks as needed.
• Greet members and assist with service requests across channels (in-person, phone, digital).
• Learn CXone and contribute to member service tasks as requested.
• Participate in training to expand knowledge of Financial Advisory and Real Estate products.
