Job summary

Strategic Mission Critical seeks an entry-level Mechanical Engineer/Designer to execute mechanical design for mission-critical projects, including greenfield and brownfield data centers, fit-outs for hyperscale and enterprise clients, and campus planning.

You will work under senior/mid-level engineers, interface with multiple disciplines, and grow rapidly in a supportive environment. Open to full time, part time, and internship/co-op applicants.

Qualifications

• Degree required in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology; drafting certs considered.
• Internship/co-op or work experience in a consulting engineering role is a plus.
• Construction industry experience is a plus.
• Experience using Revit in educational or professional context is a plus.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed design documents using Autodesk Revit.
• Perform airside and hydronic calculations for mechanical systems.
• Develop hydronic and airflow diagrams.
• Learn to select and specify HVAC equipment.
• Meet project deadlines and work necessary hours to complete major deliverables.
• Review local and national construction codes and project specifications.
• Utilize Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams.
• Travel up to 10% to project sites.
• Communicate clearly in writing and speech; work with senior staff.
