Job summary

Hawthorne Residential Partners is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to support daily community upkeep and learn the foundations of property maintenance. This entry-level role offers hands-on training, opportunities to learn new trades, and a path toward career growth within a supportive team.

Expect responsibilities across cleaning, light repairs, and preparing vacant units for new move-ins, with regular hours and an on-site team environment. Valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

Education: High School or GED equivalent.
Experience: One year of maintenance, repair, or HVAC preferred but not required.
License: Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough cleaning and debris pick-up throughout the property per company standards.
Maintain cleanliness of breezeways and sidewalks including pressure washing; service trash receptacles.
Clean areas around the mailroom, pool, fitness area, laundry, clubhouse, and other common areas.
Restore vacant apartments to make ready status for next move-in.
Light checks around the community and replace breezeway light bulbs.
Assist the maintenance team with lock changes and fixture replacements.
Light painting of curbs, signposts, and other areas as needed.
Maintain shop appearance for quick inventory assessment.
