Job summary

Mystic Seaport Museum seeks a General Maintainer to perform routine maintenance and repairs on its buildings and grounds. You will handle carpentry, painting, use power tools, and support set-up and breakdown for special events, including tents, tables, and chairs.

This entry-level full-time role requires a valid driver\'s license, ability to lift 75 pounds, and outdoor work in all weather. Winter operations, gutter cleaning, trash collection, and general labor support are part of the position.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Capable of lifting 75 pounds.
• Able to work from a ladder.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Power tools and equipment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and general carpentry on buildings.
• Perform interior and exterior painting
• Use power tools and other equipment for building and grounds maintenance
• Perform various groundskeeping maintenance
• Perform set-up and breakdown services for special events. Such services may include delivery and erection of tents; and delivery and set-up of tables and chairs
• Provide manual labor support to other Facilities Management as assigned.
• Winter Operations support during snow removal
