Job summary

Connecticut Spring & Stamping in Farmington, CT, is hiring a General Maintenance Worker. The role covers carpentry, custodial duties, painting, and minor repairs across the facility. Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent skills.
• Experience in carpentry and painting.
• Able to use hand tools & electric saws safely.
• General facility maintenance knowledge.
• Reliable, independent worker.

Responsibilities

• Receives work orders and acts as the facility carpenter in the alteration, repair, and maintenance of the building and equipment.
• Performs cleaning.
• Sets-up and operates woodworking tools required to complete the job.
• Erects or dismantles structures; repairs or refinishes walls or structures.
• Responsible for the maintenance of carpenter shop equipment.
• Assists in snow shoveling walkways when needed.
• Snowplow experience a plus.
• Assist in moving furniture when needed.
• Build shelves/cabinets/etc. as needed.
• Minor landscaping as required.
• Painting walls and furniture as needed.
• Observes company processes and makes recommendations for improvement.
• Participates in continuous improvement projects.
