Job summary

JE Dunn Construction's Advanced Facilities Group seeks an entry-level Mechanical and Electrical (M/E) professional to learn and contribute on major data center, industrial and manufacturing projects. You will support safety, review plans, develop basic M/E estimates, and help coordinate bid scopes and subcontractor selections.

You will gain hands-on experience reading designs, assisting with shop drawings, inspections, and commissioning activities within a collaborative, safety-focused team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, architectural engineering or related field is required.
• Equivalent relevant experience will be considered in lieu of the above.
• 0–2 years construction experience and/or summer internship/co-op experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learns and actively participates in safety and quality plans and culture.
• Completes entry level and routine mechanical, electrical and field construction activities.
• Assists in developing budgetary M/E estimates using automated estimating system.
• Assists in reviewing mechanical and electrical options during preconstruction and conducts systems analysis.
• Learns to develop mechanical and electrical scopes of work for bid coordination.
• Assists in bid analysis and subcontractor selection input.
• Supports sequencing requirements of systems to meet schedules.
• Gains knowledge of design documents to identify potential quality issues and constructability reports.
• Performs job inspections to ensure specifications and timely, quality work.
• Assists with shop drawing/submittal process and commissioning procedures.

Education

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architectural engineering or related field
