Job summary

JE Dunn Construction Group is seeking an entry-level M/E Engineering associate to contribute to core M/E projects within our Advanced Facilities team. You will participate in safety, quality processes, and assist with mechanical and electrical tasks on a range of mission-critical and industrial projects.

This role emphasizes learning through hands-on experience, collaboration with seasoned engineers, and exposure to bid, planning, and commissioning activities in a dynamic construction

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, architectural engineering or related field.
• 0-2 years construction experience and/or internship/co-op experience in construction (Preferred).
• Ability to read and understand plans, drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Learn and actively participate in safety and quality plans and culture.
• Complete entry level mechanical, electrical and field construction activities.
• Develop budgetary M/E estimates using automated M/E estimating system.
• Assist in reviewing mechanical and electrical options in preconstruction and perform systems analysis.
• Learn to develop M/E scopes of work to coordinate during the bid process.
• Assist in bid analysis and subcontractor selection process.
• Assist in developing sequencing requirements of various systems and provide solutions to meet the schedule.
• Gain knowledge of design documents to identify potential quality issues and contribute to constructability reviews.
• Assist with shop drawing/submittal process and commissioning activities.

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architectural engineering or related field
