Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking an entry‑level M/E engineer within the Advanced Facilities group. You will learn and perform routine mechanical, electrical, and field construction activities, read plans, and assist with budget‑driven estimates using automated M/E estimating tools.

Collaboration across disciplines and safety‑minded practice are essential. Preferred candidates have a 0–2 year construction background or internship, and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, architectural

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/ electrical/ architectural engineering or related field.
0–2 years construction experience and/or summer internship/co‑op experience.
Ability to read and understand plans, drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

Learn and actively participate in all aspects of safety and quality plans and culture.
Complete entry level and routine mechanical, electrical and field construction activities.
Assist in developing budgetary M/E estimates using automated estimating system.
Assist in reviewing mechanical and electrical options during preconstruction and perform systems analysis.
Help develop M/E scopes of work for bid coordination.
Assist in bid analysis and subcontractor selection.
Assist in sequencing requirements and problem solving for schedule.
Review design documents to identify constructability issues.
