Job summary

JE Dunn is seeking an entry-level M/E Engineer to support mechanical, electrical, and field construction activities. You will collect data, learn to develop estimates, and assist in bid analysis to help coordinate across design and construction teams.

You will work within JE Dunn's safety and quality culture, gaining exposure to budgeting, scheduling, and constructability reviews on projects in the Tempe area. This role offers growth in a leading construction firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, architectural engineering or related field.
• Equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Completes entry level and routine mechanical, electrical and field construction activities.
• Learns how to develop budgetary M/E estimates using the automated estimating system.
• Assists in review of mechanical and electrical options during preconstruction and analyzes systems.
• Learns to develop M/E scopes of work to coordinate during the bid process.
• Assists in bid analysis and subcontractor selection input.
• Helps develop sequencing of systems to meet schedule.
• Gains knowledge of design documents to identify potential constructability issues.
• Learns to perform job inspections to ensure specs met.
• Learns and assists with shop drawing/submittal process.
• Assists with commissioning, including pre-functional checklists and testing.
