JE Dunn Construction is seeking an entry-level M/E Engineer 1 to support mechanical and electrical activities on project sites in Tempe, AZ. You will gather data, learn cost estimation, and assist with bid analyses under supervision.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and up to 2 years of construction experience. You’ll engage in shop drawing, commissioning prep, and coordinating with teams to meet schedules and safety standards.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architectural engineering or related field (Required).
• In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

Aufgaben

• Participates in safety and quality plans and culture.
• Performs entry level mechanical, electrical and field construction activities.
• Assists in developing budgetary M/E estimates using automated estimating system.
• Reviews mechanical and electrical options during preconstruction and conducts systems analysis.
• Develops M/E scopes of work to coordinate during the bid process.
• Assists with bid analysis and subcontractor selection.
• Assists with sequencing to meet schedule requirements.
• Gains knowledge of design documents to identify potential constructability issues.
• Performs job inspections to ensure specifications and timelines are met.
• Supports shop drawing/submittal process per contract documents.
• Assists with commissioning preparation including checklists and functional testing.
