About LabCorp

LabCorp is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join their Specimen Processing and Accessioning team in Earth City. The Specimen Accessioner will be responsible for performing clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting, and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment according to established standard operating procedures.

Work Schedule

Monday – Friday, 3:30 pm – 12:00 am, with rotating Saturdays.

Work Location

Earth City Branch, 4030 Wedgeway Ct, Earth City, MO.

Job Responsibilities

1. Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
2. Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas.
3. Accurately identify and label specimens.
4. Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities.
5. Meet department activity and production goals.
6. Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples.
7. Data entry of patient information accurately and promptly.
8. Resolve and document any problem specimens.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• No prior experience required; 1-2+ years of related experience (lab/accessioning, production/manufacturing/warehouse) is a plus.
• Previous medical or production experience is a plus.
• Comfort handling biological specimens.
• Ability to accurately identify specimens.
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Strong data entry and organizational skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blind test.
