Missouri Baptist Medical Center (MBMC) is hiring a skilled/experienced Part-Time Lab Associate III for our Processing and Customer Service departments on Evening Shift.

***$500 Sign-on Bonus!!!

Position Details:

• Shift: Afternoon / Evening (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM), 3 days a week with rotating weekends and holidays
• General Lab Processing & Customer Service Department (Send-outs)
• In-Office position (non-remote)
• Lab Pre-Analytic Departments
• Specimen processing, customer service, Send-out testing
• NO Phlebotomy

Experience:

• Strong Lab experience (preferred)
• Strong communication skills
• Call Center and/or phone customer service experience

• Excellent communication skills and customer service abilities, especially in a call center or phone environment.
• Proficient in various computer systems and comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced setting

Role Purpose

Performs a variety of pre-analytic, analytic and post-analytic laboratory duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Performs waived and moderate complex testing with appropriate training and competency, sweat chloride collections, EKG's, etc.
• Under supervision, reports test results as appropriate.
• Sorts and processes routine and specific high-level specimens received by the lab—including multistep technical processing (i.e., Histology, Microbiology, Cytology, etc.)—ensuring correct processing and packaging for esoteric send-out tests.
• Coordinates multiple tasks accurately, including STAT orders and workload fluctuations, prioritizing work to complete within scheduled hours and turnaround times.
• Manages inventory, equipment cleaning, maintenance, loading, etc.
