Role Purpose

Performs pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic laboratory duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Performs waived and moderate complex testing, sweat chloride collections, EKGs, etc., with appropriate training and competency.
• Reports test results under supervision.
• Processes routine and complex specimens, ensuring correct handling and packaging for send-out tests.
• Manages multiple tasks, prioritizing STAT orders and workload fluctuations to meet turnaround times.
• Maintains inventory, cleans and maintains equipment.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED

Experience

• 2-5 years

Supervisor Experience

• None required
