Job summary

Huntsville Hospital Health System seeks a skilled System Administrator to maintain and enhance server OS, software and hardware across our network. You will configure systems, monitor performance, and troubleshoot outages, while enforcing security controls and backups.

You will implement upgrades, develop automation scripts, and train staff on new technologies, maintaining comprehensive technical documentation for reference and policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in computer science or related field.
• 2 years experience in Network environment.
• Experience with VMware ESX and virtualization technologies.
• Knowledge of data backup/recovery systems and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, upgrade and manage server operating systems, software, hardware and servers.
• Install and configure software and hardware; manage network servers and technology tools.
• Monitor performance and maintain systems; troubleshoot issues and outages.
• Ensure security through access controls and backups; upgrade systems with new releases.
• Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies and document processes in the internal wiki.
