Job summary

Marshall Medical Centers is seeking a skilled System Administrator to organize and manage complex server environments. The role includes maintaining server OS, software, hardware, and network services, while ensuring performance, security, and backups.

You will install configurations, troubleshoot outages, and upgrade systems, plus mentor junior staff and document IT policies. Bachelor's degree preferred; MCSE with 3–5 years of experience highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in computer science or related field.
• MCSE certification required with 3-5 years’ experience in a Microsoft multi-server networking environment.
• Experience with multiple domains and mission critical systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage, organize and prioritize projects and workload.
• Maintain, upgrade and manage server operating systems, software, hardware and servers.
• Install and configure software and hardware.
• Manage network servers and technology tools.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues/outages and ensure security through access controls and backups.
• Upgrade systems with new releases and models and document changes.
• Train staff on new technologies and maintain internal IT policy wiki.
• Mentor junior staff members.
