Job summary

The City of Huntsville ITS Department is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to manage and support Windows server infrastructure across LAN/WAN. You will install, configure, and maintain server hardware and software and provide end-user support for various applications and operating systems.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in a related field, with 5+ years of Windows Server admin experience and desirable certifications (MCSA/MCSE) along with VMware and SAN familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS, MIS, or related field required.
• MCSA/MCSE certification highly desired.
• Knowledge/experience with VMware, SAN, and server virtualization preferred.
• Five years of Windows Server administration experience recommended.

Responsibilities

• Provision, install, configure, operate and maintain Windows server systems and related infrastructure.
• Plan, install, configure, maintain, and test PCs and server software across LAN/WAN.
• Provide end-user technical support for applications, desktop OS and server OS.
