Job summary

Boone County Health Center is seeking a dependable Systems Administrator to join our Information Technology team. You will design, implement, and secure the hospital’s server infrastructure, administering both Windows and Linux environments.

The role oversees virtualization platforms (Nutanix AHV, VMware ESXi/vSphere), Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Exchange Online, and backup/recovery processes with Zerto. On-site position serving ~400 employees.

Qualifications

Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred in CS/IT or related field.
2–5 years of experience in systems administration, infrastructure support, cybersecurity, or related IT role preferred.
Healthcare or EMR/EHR experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, administer, maintain, and secure server infrastructure.
Administer Windows Server and Linux server environments.
Manage virtualization and storage with Nutanix AHV, VMware ESXi, and vSphere.
Monitor server availability, performance, and hardware health.
Support IT security activities including identity management and vulnerability management.
Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, licensing, MFA, and user access.
Onboard/offboard employees by managing accounts, access, licenses, and permissions.
Support the hospital’s EMR/EHR systems and other clinical/business apps.
Manage automated backups and disaster recovery including Zerto.
