Job summary

EMCO in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Systems Administrator 3 to oversee day-to-day operation of servers, Linux/Windows, and virtualization. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain infrastructure to ensure security, reliability, and performance.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead deployment and patching efforts, document architecture and testing procedures, and support customers and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• 6+ years of professional systems administration, application deployment, or IT infrastructure experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Linux/UNIX, VMware/OpenShift, and system administration.

Responsibilities

• System Integration: Ensure day-to-day operation and support of servers and systems, including event, fault, and performance management.
• Application & Deployment: Lead application teams for continuous software enhancements, patch management, and deployments across environments.
• Documentation & Testing: Define system test procedures and maintain architecture diagrams and update documentation.
