Job summary

The Darian Taliaferro Agency in Michigan is seeking an ambitious, outgoing sales professional to join our team. You’ll gain hands-on experience in insurance sales, build business relationships, and advance your career with mentorship and ongoing training.

You’ll work toward individual production goals, receive agency-provided leads and marketing support, and have opportunities to grow toward agency ownership. Monday–Friday schedule, no evenings or weekends, base plus uncapped commissions.

Qualifications

• No extensive insurance background required; right attitude and willingness to develop skills.
• Previous sales, insurance, or customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Must be able to obtain required Property & Casualty and Life & Health licenses.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business via outbound calls, leads, referrals and networking.
• Connect with prospects, assess needs, and recommend Auto, Home, Life and Business coverage.
• Prepare quotes, explain options, handle objections, and close sales.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities and address coverage gaps for existing customers.
• Maintain a structured sales pipeline with consistent follow-up and CRM activity.
• Build client relationships for retention, referrals, and long-term growth.
• Meet individual production goals while contributing to agency success.
• Participate in ongoing sales training, coaching, and professional development.
• Gain exposure to agency operations, business development, and leadership opportunities.
