Job summary

Sierra Space is seeking an entry-level Guidance, Navigation & Control Engineer I to support development and analysis of spacecraft GNC systems. You will work on control systems, orbital mechanics, and simulations under supervision, building expertise in GNC algorithms and datasets.

The role emphasizes MATLAB/SIMULINK development, HITL testing, and collaboration with senior engineers to deliver mission-ready solutions for aerospace projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical or related field.
• 0–2 years of relevant engineering experience or internships.
• Foundational knowledge of statics, dynamics, control systems, orbital mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and implement GNC algorithms (classical control, Kalman filtering).
• Support GNC mode transitions, Monte Carlo simulations, and performance evaluations.
• Develop MATLAB scripts/models; integrate with SIMULINK and STK; HITL simulations.
