Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical engineering or related field.
  • 2+ years in dynamic modeling and GNC algorithm design.
  • Proficiency in SIMULINK and STK; experience with C, C++, Python; version control (GIT/SVN).
  • Foundational knowledge of GNC algorithms and at least one GNC area (guidance, navigation, control or FDIR).
  • Understanding of IMUs, GPS, star trackers, RCS, reaction wheels, magnetic torquer bars, control moment gyros, and LIDAR.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate GNC algorithms across guidance, navigation, and control.
  • Program and optimize simulations using SIMULINK and STK; analyze sensors and actuators including IMUs, GPS, star trackers, LIDAR, and RCS.
  • Run Monte Carlo simulations to identify issues and optimize system performance.
  • Validate functionality with GNC flight software in target test simulation environments.
  • Document technical findings and communicate results to stakeholders and team members.
