ARCO Design/Build, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Superintendent for new grads to join our Houston team. You’ll gain exposure to the full lifecycle of a project while working with experienced professionals who are invested in your growth, with a focus on safety and hands-on field leadership.

This role emphasizes preconstruction planning, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and cost tracking, offering a clear path to develop in design/build environments and tilt-up industrial builds.

Qualifications

• Recent or soon-to-be graduate of an accredited Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction Management, Building Science, or Construction Engineering program.
• Strong interest in the construction process, design/build and related project types.
• Prior construction experience preferred, but not required.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver's license in your state of residence.
• GPA 3.0 or higher preferred, but not required.
• Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Project.
• Excellent verbal communication, attention to detail and strong work ethic.

Responsabilités

• Preconstruction planning and post-award meetings to review project details.
• Develop construction schedules with the Project Manager and plan staffing.
• Oversee daily field activities ensuring safety, schedule, and budget adherence.
• Coordinate subcontractors and align work across trades.
• Assist with material deliveries, equipment coordination and submittals.
• Prepare job progress reports and monitor project costs.
• Maintain communication with owners, architects, and stakeholders.
• Lead and participate in jobsite coordination meetings.
• Maintain accurate daily reports and site records.
• Promote safety programs and maintain a safe jobsite.
• Collaborate with office and field teams to align operations.
