ARCO Design/Build, Inc. in Memphis, TN is seeking an Assistant Superintendent (New Grad 2027) to oversee field activities and support project delivery from preconstruction through closeout. You will work under experienced superintendents to coordinate schedules, safety, and subcontractors.

The role emphasizes growth in design/build delivery, tilt-up and industrial projects, with active mentorship and opportunities to advance in field leadership within a top national design/build firm.

Qualifications

• Recent or soon-to-be-graduate of an accredited Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction Management, Building Science, or Construction Engineering undergraduate or graduate program
• Strong interest in the construction process, specifically design/build, tilt-up concrete, industrial builds, etc.
• Previous experience in construction preferred, but not required
• Possess and maintain a current, valid driver’s licenses in your state of residence
• GPA 3.0 or higher preferred, but not required
• Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Project
• Excellent verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic

Responsibilities

• Preconstruction Planning – Attend post-award meetings and assist with planning
• Project Scheduling – Develop construction schedules with the Project Manager
• Field Leadership – Oversee daily construction activities for safety and schedule
• Subcontractor Coordination – Manage subcontractor activities and communication
• Material & Equipment Management – Assist with deliveries, shop drawings, and submittals
• Progress & Cost Tracking – Prepare progress reports and monitor project costs
• Owner & Design Team Communication – Maintain regular communication with stakeholders
• Jobsite Meetings – Lead coordination meetings with project teams
• Documentation – Maintain accurate daily reports and jobsite records
• Safety Leadership – Promote and enforce safety program on site
• Team Collaboration – Work with PMs and field teams to align office and field ops
