Job summary

ARCO Design/Build is seeking an enthusiastic Superintendent Intern/Co‑op in Houston to learn the full lifecycle of a construction project. You’ll work with seasoned field leaders on site mobilization, safety, scheduling, and quality control while gaining hands‑on experience in a dynamic design/build environment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction Management, Building Science, or Construction Engineering undergraduate or graduate program (other related engineering majors will be considered).
• Driver's License.
• Excellent verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong work ethics.
• Previous Co‑op or intern experience in construction preferred, but not required.
• GPA 3.0 or higher preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to daily field operations from site mobilization through project completion.
• Participate in daily safety meetings, job site inspections, and learn how to promote and maintain a strong safety culture.
• Assist with coordinating subcontractor activities and monitoring progress to help keep projects on schedule.
