Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking a motivated Construction Materials Testing Field Technician to join our Wisconsin team. No experience is required as training is provided, with certification fees covered. You will conduct field observations, tests, and sampling of soils, aggregates, and concrete on project sites under senior staff guidance.

You’ll learn ECS methods, record results precisely, and communicate site conditions to supervisors. Growth through OSHA 10, ACI, and other certifications is encouraged.

Qualifications

• No experience required; willingness to learn on the job.
• Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Willing to develop understanding of heavy construction safety and practices.
• Willing to obtain knowledge of CMT principles and ASTM standards, leading to certifications.
• OSHA 10 certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct observation, testing, and sampling of materials including soils, aggregates, and concrete on site.
• Perform routine field and laboratory tests following industry standards.
• Collect data, perform calculations, and assist with drafting and administrative duties.
• Maintain daily communication with contractors, technicians, and project managers.
• Receive training in ECS methodology and document findings precisely.
