Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Tulsa is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Field Technician. This entry-level role focuses on field observations and routine testing of soils, aggregates, and concrete, under direct supervision.

You will collect data, document site conditions, and support testing activities to build foundational technical skills. No experience is required; paid training is provided and ECS covers certification fees.

Qualifications

• 0 years of experience required; entry level.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Obtain basic certifications per ECS Technician Certification Policy.
• Valid driver's license required when driving for ECS.
• Good communication (verbal/written/reading).
• Dependable, self-motivated, detail-oriented work ethic.
• Ability to read maps, follow directions and interpret plans (developing).
• Basic math and data entry ability.
• Proficiency with tablets, phones, and laptops.
• Ability to lift equipment up to ~85 lbs and operate a vehicle safely.

Responsibilities

• Performs field observation, testing, and sampling of soil, aggregates, and concrete under supervision.
• Assists with construction materials testing activities on project sites.
• Communicates daily with contractors, technicians, and project managers.
• Reports changing site conditions and additional testing needs to supervisors.
• Assists with preparation and submission of daily field reports.
• Supports basic calculations and data entry related to testing results.
• Assists in organizing and maintaining field equipment.
• Notifies supervisors of damaged or missing equipment.
• Participates in project meetings with senior staff as requested.
• Performs other field and project support duties as assigned.
