Job summary

Kiewit Foundations Co is seeking an Entry Level Field/Office Engineer to join our operations in the Transportation market. You will support field crews with drawings, takeoffs, and planning while gaining exposure to underground tunneling and foundation projects.

Responsibilities span field engineering, office drafting, and estimating tasks, with opportunities for travel and career growth across North America. A Bachelor's in a construction-related field and willingness to relocate are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field (engineering) required
• Previous experience in construction or mining preferred
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong work ethic and willingness to travel and relocate nationally

Responsibilities

• Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision
• Perform quantity calculations by taking measurements and determining percentages of completed materials
• Assist in preparation of work plans and work packages
• Assist in field surveying and layout support including elevation points and as-built data
• Assist in daily labor timekeeping and JHA preparation
• Contribute to underground tunneling and construction operation solutions
• Participate in safety reviews and toolbox talks
• Order and schedule material deliveries and coordinate work groups
• Support both field operations and office engineering tasks
• Assist in estimating and bid preparation, including material takeoffs
