Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an entry-level Environmental, Water Resources, or Civil Engineer to join our Water Services Group in the United States. This role offers hands-on experience with sustainable water projects while building technical skills within a collaborative team.

You will support fieldwork, modeling, and reporting, using ArcGIS, Fathom, SWMM and other tools, and grow toward independent project contributions across the full lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• 0 years. Domestic and/or international travel may be required; travel frequency contingent on duties.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Support site assessments, field investigations, and project studies.
• Assist with design development and adjust design parameters based on project requirements and field findings.
• Perform water quality analyses, hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, and other engineering analyses.
• Prepare technical reports, project documentation, presentations, and other deliverables for client meetings and industry conferences.
• Use tools such as ArcGIS, Fathom, SWMM, CADD, Excel, and other engineering software to support project design and analysis.
• Participate in fieldwork and construction management activities, providing exposure to projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
