Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an entry-level Environmental, Water Resources, or Civil Engineer to join our Water Services Group. This role offers early-career engineers the chance to apply their skills to innovative and sustainable water projects while growing within a dynamic team.

You will support planning, design, and implementation of water and wastewater facilities, sewer systems, pipelines and related infrastructure, gaining hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
0 years of experience; domestic and/or international travel may be required.
Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

Support site assessments, field investigations, and project studies.
Assist with design development and adjust design parameters based on project requirements and field findings.
Perform water quality analyses, hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, and other engineering analyses.
Prepare technical reports, project documentation, presentations, and other deliverables for client meetings and industry conferences.
Use tools such as ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, CADD, Excel, and other engineering software to support project design and analysis.
Office and in-field coordination to support regional lead service line rehabilitation projects.
Participate in fieldwork and construction management activities, providing exposure to projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
