Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an entry-level Environmental, Water Resources, or Civil Engineer to join our Water Services Group in the United States. You will contribute to planning, design, and implementation of water and wastewater facilities, pipelines, and related infrastructure.

You will support fieldwork, analysis, and reporting, gaining exposure to projects across the full lifecycle while developing technical skills under experienced mentors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• 0 years of experience; travel may be required. Equivalent related experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Support site assessments, field investigations, and project studies.
• Assist with design development and adjust design parameters based on project requirements and field findings.
• Perform water quality analyses, hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, and other engineering analyses.
• Prepare technical reports, project documentation, presentations, and other deliverables for client meetings and industry conferences.
• Use tools such as ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, CADD, Excel, and other engineering software to support project design and analysis.
• Office and in‑field coordination to support regional lead service line rehabilitation projects.
• Participate in fieldwork and construction management activities, providing exposure to projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
