Job summary

HBK Engineering, LLC is seeking an Associate Graduate Engineer for an entry-level role nationwide. You will design systems for overhead and subsurface utilities, work across electrical, structural, civil, and construction challenges, and gain exposure to the full design lifecycle from initiation through closeout.

You will use AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, and asset management tools, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and advancing toward PE licensure. Travel is possible up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related degree from an ABET-accredited program.
• EIT Certification preferred.
• 0 to 2 years of relevant experience.
• US driver's license and US work authorization.
• Ability to work independently and in interdisciplinary teams.
• Strong technology skills and understanding of the Office365 suite.
• Working knowledge of 2D CAD software (AutoCAD or similar).
• Understanding of remote communication software.
• Ability to quickly come up to speed on in-process projects.
• Experience collaborating with teams on larger projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Persistence and adaptability in a dynamic team environment.

Responsibilities

• Design engineering systems for overhead and subsurface utility projects.
• Deploy solutions for electrical, structural, civil, and construction challenges.
• Own all design lifecycle phases from initiation to closeout.
• Prepare detailed documents using AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, and asset management platforms.
• Analyze information from surveys, atlas data, field sketches, and datasheets.
• Independently manage time and project milestones.
• Conduct field walkdowns with internal staff and clients.
• Travel as needed, typically less than 25%.
