Job summary

GJB & Associates in Honolulu, HI is seeking a Level-1 Electronic Security Systems (ESS) Technician to support installation, maintenance, and servicing of access control, intrusion alarms, video surveillance, and intercom systems.

You will install and route ESS cables, set up racks and panels, assist in testing equipment, and participate in training. Must lift up to 75 lbs, hold a valid driver's license, and be willing to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Willingness to learn and grow in ESS technologies.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install and route ESS cables through conduits, ceilings, and between floors.
• Set up cable trays, racks, patch panels, and other infrastructure.
• Assist in installing and testing ESS equipment under supervision.
• Support maintenance, troubleshooting, and service calls for ESS systems.
• Read technical manuals and diagrams to understand equipment functions.
• Perform warehouse duties and inventory management as assigned.
• Participate in training classes and maintain a professional image.
