Job summary

G&W Electric is seeking an Electrical Tester I to perform repetitive testing preparation and basic testing tasks in a manufacturing environment. You will visually inspect products, prepare for tests, operate equipment, and ensure conformance to specifications while maintaining a safe, clean workspace.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, 0-1 year in manufacturing, ability to read drawings and BOMs, basic computer skills, and English instruction comprehension.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or combination of work experience and skill development
• 0-1 year experience in a manufacturing environment
• Able to safely use small hand and power tools
• Able to read and interpret Drawings and Bills of Material
• Basic computer skills
• Able to read instructions and understand verbal instructions in English

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect product prior to testing to detect conformance to standards
• Inspect testing equipment and test booth/cage for proper operation
• Prepare product for test by safely making the connections required for test being performed
• Separate non-conforming parts
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
• Contribute to team effort by training others in performance of testing tasks as needed
• Inspect all work and insure it meets requirements prior to passing it on to the next operation
