Lake Superior Consulting is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer (I) to join our team in Duluth, MN for Spring 2027. The role involves learning electrical design and CAD tasks, supporting senior engineers across power, controls, and communications projects.

You will contribute to multi-disciplinary designs, perform field inspections, and help prepare detailed design documents. Strong communication and teamwork are essential as projects span industrial sectors with travel up to 10%.

Competenze

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Hands-on experience in power, control, and communications systems preferred.

Mansioni

• Perform engineering, CAD design, and drafting duties to assist senior engineers in the design of electrical construction packages.
• Work with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and technicians to complete designs of large and complex industrial systems.
• Create design documents and drawings: one-line and three-line diagrams, protection and control schematics, communications diagrams, wiring diagrams, layouts, sections and detail drawings, cable and conduit schedules, and mark-ups.
• Design responsibilities include calculations, studies, detailed design, report writing, field investigations and construction support.
• Field wiring and testing of electrical systems with the design and commissioning teams at LSC.
• Apply engineering theory to ground grid design, equipment sizing, wire sizing, relay coordination, and arc flash studies.
• Communicate and coordinate project activities with the project lead, customer representatives, and other stakeholders.
• Travel up to 10% for field engineering support and client site visits.
