Job summary

TierPoint, LLC. is seeking an Operations Technician I to support data center operations in a hands-on, entry-level capacity. The role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining servers and network gear, plus remote smart hands support for complex issues.

You will monitor power, cooling, and network alerts, perform security walkthroughs, and follow MOPs for maintenance. Availability for night shifts and weekends is expected in a 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent.
• Adequate professional experience to perform responsibilities.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize and organize effectively.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently and with others.
• Ability to operate in a fast-moving, team-oriented environment with tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Windows-based computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain servers, storage, and network equipment.
• Provide remote smart hands support for advanced issues.
• Monitor alerts for power, cooling, and network performance.
• Conduct facility security and operational walk-throughs; report and document issues.
• Follow procedures for equipment and cabling maintenance.
• Escalate incidents to senior staff when needed.
• Proactively manage the ticket queue.
• Escort and supervise vendors and visitors; maintain records.
• Monitor security cameras.
• Other duties as assigned.
