Job summary

TierPoint is seeking an Operations Technician I to help maintain data center facilities in a 24/7 environment. The role includes entry-level hardware work, cable management, and general facility tasks while delivering top-tier customer service.

The position requires a high school diploma and strong communication skills, with an emphasis on reliability, teamwork, and adaptability in a fast-moving setting. On-site shifts include nights and weekends as part of a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Hardware and Infrastructure Support: assist in installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, storage devices, and network equipment.
  • Monitoring & Maintenance: monitor and respond to alerts related to power, cooling, and network performance; conduct security and operational walk-throughs; follow MOP for equipment and cabling maintenance.
  • Incident Response & Troubleshooting: escalate critical incidents to senior engineers when needed; manage ticket queue for timely responses.
  • Security & Compliance: react to alarms promptly; supervise third-party vendors and visitors; maintain accurate records of changes and incidents; monitor security cameras.
