Job summary

JE Dunn Construction Company seeks a Project Engineer 1 to support construction and field execution on diverse projects. The role emphasizes learning construction management fundamentals, including punch lists and self-perform work, in alignment with JE Dunn standards.

You will engage with project teams on safety, quality, reporting, procurement logs, and documenting progress. The position offers growth within the Project Engineering family and exposure to multi-location construction activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field
• Equivalent relevant experience will be considered
• Entry level construction experience

Responsibilities

• Participates in safety and quality plans and culture
• Participates with QA/QC planning to ensure quality
• Learns estimating and change management processes and tools
• Works on site to support crew size, self-perform hours, materials and equipment
• Participates in punch lists, inspections, safety reviews and documentation
• Posts drawings and specifications with the latest information
• Prepares and disseminates project documentation and coordinates meetings
• Produces daily/weekly reports and progress tracking to support scheduling and reporting
• Performs periodic job site observations with project leadership
• Creates procurement logs and tracks shop drawings and deliveries
• Supports project closeout including manuals and as-built drawings
• Learns Lean practices and self-perform opportunities
