Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is seeking a CMT Field Technician in Murfreesboro to learn field observation, testing, and sampling of materials under supervision. No prior experience required; training is provided and certification fees may be covered.

You'll work with experienced professionals to perform tests on soils, aggregates, and concrete, maintaining safety and quality standards while communicating findings to project teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 85 pounds.
• Must have valid driver's license and insurance.
• Willing to develop understanding of heavy construction safety and procedures.
• OSHA 10 certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Observe, test, and sample soils, aggregates, and concrete on project sites.
• Perform routine field and laboratory tests following industry standards.
• Collect data, perform calculations, and assist with drafting and admin duties.
• Maintain daily communication with site contractors, technicians, and project managers.
• Receive training in ECS methodologies for observations, inspections, and testing.
