Job summary

ECS Limited invites applications for a Field Technician in Murfreesboro. No prior experience is required as you will be trained by seasoned technicians to safely perform site observations, sampling, testing, and data collection on soils, aggregates, and concrete.

You will coordinate with project managers and contractors, maintain field equipment, and advance through OSHA/ASTM certification programs; a driver's license and ability to lift 85 pounds are part of the role.

Qualifications

• No experience required; paid training provided.
• Must lift a minimum of 85 pounds.
• Must have valid driver's license and insurance.
• Willing to develop understanding of CMT principles and ASTM standards.
• OSHA 10 certification may be required.
• Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, writing).

Responsibilities

• Field Activities: Observe, test, and sample soils, aggregates, and concrete at project sites under supervision.
• Testing Procedures: Perform routine field and lab tests following industry standards.
• Data Collection: Calculate and reduce data from sampling and tests; assist with drafting as needed.
• Communication: Maintain daily contact with contractors, technicians, and managers; report changes.
• Training and Development: Receive ECS training and document findings precisely per engineering practices.
