Job summary

Kleinschmidt has a full-time opening for an Entry-Mid level Civil Engineer to work with a multi-disciplinary team on dam removals, embankment repairs, fish passage facilities, recreation facilities, renewable energy projects, and stream restorations. The role supports from concept through bid drawings, with field site visits and data analysis.

The position offers hybrid work with 2-3 days in the office and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or related field is required.
• Erosion & sediment control and stormwater management design experience is required.
• Prior exposure to engineering design/construction support tasks is required.
• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) is required.

Responsibilities

• Work with senior staff on all stages of project delivery from concept to bid drawings.
• Collaborate with scientists, data analysts, engineers, and licensing experts to design solutions for renewable energy projects.
• Gain expertise in civil site design, hydraulic fish passage, and stream channel design for dam decommissioning and related work.
