Job summary

The State of West Virginia, Bureau of Child Support Enforcement, seeks an entry-level Caseworker in Jackson County. This training position develops familiarity with Child Support laws, policies, and services while you process cases, locate non-custodial parents, and respond to customer inquiries under close supervision.

Through formal classroom training and on-the-job learning, you will gradually manage a caseload and gain independence, with monthly progress evaluations as you demonstrate

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• FOUR (4) years of clerical and/or paraprofessional experience.
• Availability of a vehicle for continuous use may be a requisite of employment.

Responsibilities

• This posting is for a Caseworker. Learns to acquire knowledge leading to independent management of a caseload in Child Support Enforcement under supervision.
• Performs beginning level work in responding to customer service inquiries, resolves less complex issues, composes routine correspondence, and maintains confidentiality of information.
