Job summary

You will receive classroom and on‑the‑job training, progressively managing a caseload under supervision and handling routine inquiries with confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Substitution: paralegal or legal secretarial training may substitute for two years of the required training.
• Full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in a legal setting required.

Responsibilities

• Perform beginning level case work in processing child support cases under supervision.
• Locate parents, assets and sources of income; calculate child support formula.
• Research statutes, court opinions, rules and regulations from legal sources.
• Prepare case files for BCSE Attorney.
• Respond to customer service inquiries and resolve less complex issues.
• Compose routine correspondence and maintain confidentiality.
