Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is seeking an entry-level Finance Representative I to support cash posting and refunds, ensuring accurate postings and timely account movements.

You will process payments, review and adjust accounts, and collaborate across revenue cycle teams. The role emphasizes attention to detail, learning payer concepts, and problem solving in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0+ years of related work experience; no directly related experience required.
• Experience in hospital or medical revenue cycle is a plus.
• Exposure to patient registration may be relevant for insurance knowledge and account research.

Responsibilities

• Process, post, and balance payments to accounts accurately, timely, and in the correct period.
• Review account and payment information, follow up on billing items, apply adjustments, and update accounts as needed.
• Review credit work queues for refunds and determine whether credits should be returned to insurer or family.
• Support electronic payment posting and research transactions needing problem solving.
• Maintain accurate information in departmental systems and collaborate with revenue cycle and financial teams.
• Complete quality checks and follow established procedures and deadlines.
