Job summary

Avis Budget Group in Baton Rouge, Louisiana is hiring an entry-level automotive technician to perform preventive maintenance and light repair on our fleet of newer vehicles. You will handle oil changes, fluids, tire work, and basic repairs while learning across a variety of brands in a fast-paced shop.

This on-site role offers on-the-job training, ASE certification support, medical/dental benefits, a 401(k), and paid time off.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of auto maintenance experience or automotive technical school coursework.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain ASE certification within the first year.
• Comfortable working in a mechanical shop with loud environments.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and light repair on a fleet of newer vehicles, including oil changes and tire work.
• Assist more experienced technicians with repairs and diagnostics as skills develop.
• Support vehicle availability and safe, dependable rental experiences for customers.
