Avis Budget Group in Louisville, KY is hiring an entry‑level automotive technician to perform preventive maintenance and light repairs on our fleet of newer vehicles. You’ll handle oil and fluid services, tire changes, rotations, and other routine tasks in a safe, quality‑minded shop.

This role offers an entry path to ASE certifications and higher‑level mechanic roles, with on‑the‑job training and benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• 6 months auto maintenance experience or automotive technical school coursework.
• Ability to obtain ASE certification within the first year.
• Comfortable in a mechanical shop with moderate to loud noise levels.
• Basic computer skills, including typing and data entry.
• Must lift up to 50 pounds and be able to stand, bend, reach, walk, and kneel.
• Must be 18+ and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and light repairs on a fleet of newer vehicles.
• Include oil and fluid services, tire changes, rotations, and basic repairs.
• Assist more experienced technicians as needed to develop skills.
• Contribute to vehicle availability and safe rental experiences.
