Job summary

Avis Budget Group invites applicants for an entry-level automotive technician role in Buffalo, NY. This on-site position involves hands-on maintenance of newer vehicles, with opportunities to pursue ASE certifications and advance to higher-level mechanic roles.

You will perform preventive maintenance, oil changes, tire rotations, and basic repairs; as you gain experience, you may assist more senior technicians to expand your skills and ensure vehicle availability for customer rentals.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• At least 6 months of auto maintenance experience or automotive technical school coursework.
• Ability to obtain at least 1 ASE certification within the first year.
• Comfortable working in a mechanical shop with moderate to loud noise levels.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and light repair work on a fleet of newer vehicles, including oil and fluid services, tire changes, rotations, basic repairs, and other routine tasks.
• Assist more experienced technicians with additional repairs and diagnostics as you develop your skills, helping keep vehicles well maintained and reliable.
