Job summary

Avis Budget Group is hiring entry-level automotive technicians at our New York shop. You’ll perform preventive maintenance, oil changes, tire rotations, and basic repairs on a fleet of newer vehicles, while learning across multiple brands.

This role offers on-the-job training toward ASE certification, opportunities to advance, and a supportive, safety-focused environment with benefits like PTO, medical/dental coverage, and a 401(k). On-site work only, with growth potential as you gain skills.

Qualifications

• 6 months of auto maintenance experience or automotive technical school coursework.
• Able to obtain at least 1 ASE certification within the first year.
• Must be 18+ with a valid driver’s license.
• On-site work only; cannot be remote.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and light repairs on our fleet of newer vehicles.
• Oil and fluid services, tire changes and rotations, basic repairs.
• Assist experienced technicians with repairs and diagnostics.
• Maintain safe, quality-focused workmanship to support vehicle availability.
