Job summary

JIFFY LUBE is seeking a General Service Technician in Lawrence, KS. You will service guest vehicles with a focus on quality, participate in an extensive training program, and earn opportunities through a robust rewards system. This entry-level position emphasizes teamwork, strong guest service, and safety.

Starting pay is hourly with benefits including 401K, DailyPay, and health insurance. Uniforms are provided and tools are offered at no cost to you, with opportunities for career advancement

Qualifications

• At least 3 months of customer facing experience (retail, food service, hospitality, etc.).
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Previous experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions.
• Effective communication to interact with guests and teammates.
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, dependability, and teamwork.
• Physically able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform bending/squatting.
• Willingness to work in varying temperatures, loud environments, and some holidays.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Promote teamwork to deliver on time and accurate guest care during all operating hours.
• Provide excellent guest service with clear communication about guest vehicles.
• Keep the service center clean and presentable.
• Mentor junior and mid-level automotive technicians.
• Check and communicate oil level to teammates.
• Ensure tire pressure is correct for proper inflation.
• Inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary.
• Complete vehicle inspections and report safety issues to management.
• Install oil drain plugs and oil filters as part of routine service.
• Document all work performed on repair orders.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
• Perform manual tasks including lifting, standing, and bending for extended periods.
